Green Drink for Constipation

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Alternatives, Food/Fruit/Nutrition

A green drink is a powerful drink that can help detoxify your colon and your blood. This drink keeps your colon and your whole body working better and longer.

There are many types of green drinks that are prepared with powders. But the green drink that I like is made using only liquid chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll has many benefits. It is capable of neutralizing substances that cause cell mutations and strengthens the cell walls of the small intestine and colon. It has an exceptional deodorizing effect on your body and on the stools you have during a bowel movement.

I drink my green drink the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This helps to activate your colon and stimulate it to have a bowel movement.
Here’s how I prepare my green drink.

* Add 1-2 oz of pure liquid chlorophyll into an empty glass (you may want to start with a tablespoon or two)
* Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the glass
* Fill the glass with 8 oz of distilled water
* Drink the combination completely

I add lemon juice to the chlorophyll because chlorophyll has a dull and blank taste that is uncomfortable for me. With lemon, it’s a drink that I enjoy taking every morning

If you have other health issues you want to work on, you can add other nutrients or liquids to this green drink. You can add a few drops of a product called Oxygen Elements Plus, which also is good for constipation and helps to detoxify your colon even more. You can add Alkalife, an alkaline water booster, which adds minerals to your drink.

From the clients that I have worked with, I have found that this chlorophyll drink helps them get better blood test results. Their blood is a little thinner. They carry more oxygen into the cells. Their blood cell count goes up.
Use this drink and you will keep drinking every morning just like I do, especially if you like lemon juice.

Aloe Vera juice

Out of the 400 species of the Aloe family, Aloe Vera (meaning True Aloe) has been used for thousands of years and is still present in varieties of medicines today. It is used predominantly as an herbal remedy for the skin, digestion, the reproductive system and detox. A gel or pulp can be extracted from the plants for many benefits, both externally and internally.

It is most commonly used to treat skin conditions by soothing the skin and easing pain and inflammation. It can even speed up the healing process of burns, eczema and other conditions. The plant’s gel can be rubbed to reduce redness after a couple of days. Rubbing the leaf over cuts in the skin can prevent infection and speed up the healing process by acting like a bandage. Because of its healing and moisturising benefits to the skin, it has been adopted by cosmetic companies and added in many products.

The juice of Aloe Vera can be extracted by cutting the leaf, collecting the juice and then evaporating it. The juice has many benefits when drunk. This is partially due to the fact that it contains twelve vitamins (including A, B1, B6, B12, C and E), nineteen amino acids and over 20 minerals, which most of these are essential to the body. In Ayurveda, the Indian health practice, Aloe Vera is known as Kumari (‘the princess’) because of its positive effect on the menstrual cycle and female reproductive system. It is also known for its ability to clean the liver and protect the digestive system by reducing intestinal inflammation.

Overall, Aloe Vera can be used for cosmetics and healing the skin, or when consumed, as a potent cleansing and rejuvenating tonic that is very nutrient rich and beneficial to the body. You can buy Aloe Vera juice at my store, http://www.vigovitamins.com . It is made only from the unfiltered inner gel of the whole plant, not the outer rind, which means less processing and more active ingredients are retained.

What do Essential Fatty Acids do in Your Body?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Food/Fruit/Nutrition

Fatty acids are used in every cell of your body. They have several characteristics that give them the power to give your
body health and a feeling of well being:

· They attract oxygen

· They absorb sunlight

· They have a negative charge

· They readily reduce lactic acid

They Attract Oxygen

Fatty acids are needed to transport oxygen from the lungs to
the red blood cells that are circulating in the blood. They do
this by carrying oxygen through the capillary walls, red blood
cell walls and directly to the hemoglobin.

The red blood cells then circulate to deliver the oxygen to the cells. The fatty acids again move the oxygen from the red blood cells through capillary walls, through the lymph liquid, through the cell walls and directly into the cells to where the oxygen is needed.

Do you want more oxygen to reach your cells? Make sure you are supplementing with Fish oil.

Fatty acids reside in the cell membranes. Here they hold
oxygen so that pathogens cannot get into the cell.
Pathogens cannot not live in an oxygen environment, so the
oxygen in the cell wall acts as a death barrier for them.

Fatty acids also reside inside the cell to help form the various structures of the cell.

They Absorb Sunlight

Fatty acids readily absorb sunlight or light energy. This
ability allows these acids to easily attract and absorb
oxygen. It makes them chemically active and for this reason
they become rancid when exposed to sunlight and oxygen.
This is the reason why you need to keep them in the
refrigerator after you open their container.

They Have a Negative Charge

With the negative charge that they have, fatty acids are
active in many chemical reactions in the body. This negative
charge keeps the fatty acid molecules dispersed and prevents them from clumping together. This ability to keep dispersed, give the fatty acids the power to move toxic material throughout the body and eventually to
the channels of elimination – skin, lungs, colon, kidney,
lymphatic system.

This flow of electrons through the body helps to recharge the body and to especially promote brain and nerve functions.

In a more complex reaction, Udo Erasmus, in his book
called, Fats and Oils – The complete Guide to Fats and
Oils in Health and Nutrition, describes how fatty acid are
involved in the movement of energy,

“The negative charge also makes the essential fatty acids weakly basic (as opposed to acidic), and able to form weak hydrogen bonds with weak acid groups such as the
sulphydryl groups found in proteins. Sulphydryl groups are especially important in oscillating reactions, which take place
between them and the double bonds of the essential fatty acids. They allow the one-way movement of electrons and energy in molecules to take place. According to one to the world’s best chemists, the Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling, such movement is required to make possible the chemical reactions on which life depends.”

They readily reduce lactic acid

Both omega-3 and omega-6 help change lactic acid, which
occurs during strenuous work or exercise, into water and
carbon dioxide. This is important because without these
omegas, the body would have to depend solely on minerals
to neutralize these acid. If too much acid is created in your
body, minerals can be depleted and your body can become
acidic, which would invite all kinds of parasites and
pathogens to setup household in your body.

Tea tree oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia. This indigenous tree is found only in tropical northeastern New South Wales Australia. The name tea tree was given by Captain Cook during his exploration of Australia during the 1700′s. After running out of tea on his voyage, he found a fragrant plant and brewed the leaves into a spicy beverage and named these plants, tea trees.

Tea tree oil is both powerful and safe. It is known for its antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. The Aboriginal people of New South Wales have used the tea tree plant medicinally for thousands of years. In the early 1900′s, tea tree oil was readily used by dentist and surgeons as a disinfectant and for incisions. Dentist also used tea tree oil for gingivitis, bleeding gums and infection. During World War II, tea tree oil was included in the first aid kits of medics. It was poured on wounds to prevent infection. It was also used very successfully to heal wounds that were already infected. They were amazed to find that this powerful germicide dissolved pus without damaging the surrounding tissue.

The beauty of tea tree oil is that it penetrates deep into the skin tissues. Acne and nail fungus are popular conditions many use tea tree oil for. It is effective and gentle on the skin. There are numerous other conditions that tea tree oil is effective on such as, arthritis, athletes foot, bites and stings, candida albicans, cold sores, dandruff, eczema, head lice, hemorrhoids, muscle aches, psoriasis, rashes, sinus congestion, warts, wounds and more. Don’t forget about your pets. It’s great for removing fleas, ticks, lice and as an antiseptic.

Tea tree oil should only be used externally, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Make sure to choose high quality tea tree oil that is 100% pure. Tea tree oil can be found in body lotions, foot creams, deodorants, dandruff shampoos, toothpaste, mouthwash, soaps, healing saves and even dental floss.

Using Rhubarb for Constipation

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Food/Fruit/Nutrition

Vegetables like fruits and their juices have healing properties because of the fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals they have. For constipation, vegetables are an excellent source of minerals and fiber. In addition there are specific vegetables and their juices that stimulate the colon become more active.

The benefits of Vegetables

Juices are absorbed quickly into your bloodstream. As a result, your cells are provided quickly with nutrients that feed them and that wash away waste. Juices give you the opportunity to get quick relief from various body conditions such as constipation. Juices move into your colon quickly to cleanse it and to activate peristaltic action.

Eating and drinking vegetables and their juices provide you with minerals and nutrients that build your blood, tissue, bones, and cells. It is minerals that build every part of your body. It is minerals that keep your body’s pH at the required level. It is minerals that keep your body alkaline by neutralizing body acids.

It is minerals that build your colon wall tissues and cells so your colon can perform those activities that prevent constipation.

Keep in mind that some natural recipes for clearing constipation require drinking vegetable juices that are bitter or have a strong taste. As you will find, some of the vegetable juices taste good and some don’t. Remember you are dealing with a condition that needs clearing and that what you drink for this is not for pleasure.

As you drink some of these vegetable juices, you may find that you like certain ones and these can become your regular daily or weekly drink.

James A. Duke, PhD, in his book, The Green Pharmacy, gives the following constipation remedy using rhubarb,

“Rhubarb has strong laxative action so it is best to use it with other juices. Here’s how you can use this herb. Blend together three stalks of rhubarb, without leaves, 1 cup of fresh apple juice, and one quart of peeled lemons and one tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. This tart drink will help you with your constipation. Drink one glass three times a day.”

A smaller quantity of this rhubarb drink would be,

Blend three stalks of rhubarb, ¼ – ½ peeled lemon, a teaspoon of maple syrup, and ¾ cup of fresh organic apple juice. You may add more syrup if the taste if to harsh for you. Don’t use rhubarb leaves since they contain toxic chemicals.

Use rhubarb only raw since it is high in oxalic acid. Use it sparingly and do not cook it. Cooking converts the organic oxalic acid into inorganic oxalic acid. The body does not easily absorb inorganic oxalic and it forms crystal deposits in the kidney and throughout the body.

If you have arthritis or gout, do not use rhubarb.

In other articles, I will be discussing the use of other vegetables that provide good constipation relief.
